“Time flies when you’re having fun”?

On the seminary front, God has been exceedingly good. We were able to significantly expand our online courses, gaining several new students along the way. We have also been involved in helping a number of churches develop and strengthen their Bible institutes. In addition, individuals and churches have come alongside this ministry financially, for which we are deeply thankful. We have truly been blessed.

Several years back, God gave me a burden to come alongside and help pastors and ministry workers, and it has been exciting to see how the Lord has used that burden. Pastors have contacted me to teach and preach on specific subjects in their churches, and even when I have not been contacted, I am continually amazed at how God directs my steps—placing me exactly where He wants me to be. Time and again, He allows me either to minister to someone or to be ministered to myself.

Here is just one example. I was scheduled to speak at a church, and Becky and I arrived in town the evening before the service. We decided to grab some food and were heading to a restaurant we had found online. As we drove down the road, Becky spotted another restaurant that she thought I would like. She quickly looked up the reviews, and they were excellent, so I decided to make a U-turn and head back. After we were seated, I looked over and could hardly believe my eyes—there sat a pastor and his wife from a church over 800 miles away! At first, I could not even process it. Since they had just ordered, we decided to join them for dinner. We talked and talked. He has been a tremendous help to me, especially with his deep knowledge of solid biblical books, and I greatly enjoyed picking his brain. Folks, this has not happened just once—God continues to direct our steps, and it has truly been a joy to follow His leading.

On the home front, we are especially grateful that all of us have remained healthy—something we try not to take for granted. Our granddaughters are healthy and growing, now rambunctious little toddlers who bring great joy to our hearts.

Becky and I have also truly settled in here in Dover since the Elisha House was finished. The previous three years here were wonderful, and our church was very gracious to allow us to live in their guest/mission house. However, being able to move into the Elisha House has been an even greater blessing. Someone recently asked us what the difference was, and as we thought about it, we realized that having our own furniture and personal belongings here has made it truly feel like home. We have already enjoyed hosting Thanksgiving at the house and look forward to Becky and me being together here for Christmas.

As we look ahead, we have so much to anticipate in 2026. Lord willing, we look forward to a wedding (Jake) and another grandbaby (Sabrina and Cooper)!

As we reflect on all that God has done this year, our hearts are drawn back to the reason for this season—the coming of our Savior. “But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son” (Galatians 4:4). This verse reminds us that God is always at work, faithfully accomplishing His purposes in His perfect timing, often in ways we could never plan or foresee.

Thank you for your prayers, encouragement, friendship, and faithful partnership in this ministry. We do not take lightly the trust you place in us, and we are grateful to walk this path of service together. As we look ahead to the coming year, we do so with expectancy, trusting the Lord to continue directing our steps and using each opportunity for His glory.
